Follow the instructions and take care of your tattoo. Follow all instructions given by studio staff to make sure your tattoo heals properly. Also keep in mind that it is important to contact your doctor if you see or feel signs of infection, such as pain, redness, swelling, or pus.
Cover the tattoo with a bandage for an hour or two.
Avoid touching, nibbling or scratching the tattooed area.
Wash the tattoo with an antibacterial soap (do not use alcohol or peroxide, they have a drying effect) and use a soft towel to dab it dry, do not rub it.
If you are not allergic to antibiotic ointment, rub something on the tattoo. Don’t use vaseline, though, it could fade the tattoo.
Cool the spot if it’s red or swollen.
Try to keep the tattoo dry until it is completely healed. Avoid swimming pools, whirlpools, or long and hot baths.
Even after it is completely healed, a tattoo is more sensitive to the sun’s rays, so you should generally protect it from the direct sun. If you spend a lot of time outside or on the beach, it is always advisable to smear the tattoo with a sunscreen LSF30. It not only protects your skin, but also keeps the tattoo from fading faster.
